HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1975-006 RESOLUTION 75-6 Because there is in the State of Texas and in the nation a serious need for more physicians, and Because this is especially acute in rural and some underserved metropolitan areas, and Because the Texas Woman's University proposes to establish in Fort Worth a medical school to prepare additional medical doctors, particularly those equipped and dedicated to practice in underserved areas, and Because Tarrant County possesses resources and commitment especially adapted to the support of the proposed school, and Because the Texas Woman's University by its developments and accomplishments in the health sciences has well demonstrated capability for good and economical accomplishment of its proposal, now Therefore, we, the City Council of North Richland Hills do hereby heartily endorse the establishment of the Texas Woman's University medical school in Fort Worth, encourage Legislative authorization therefor, and pledge all appropriate aid and support to this end.
