RESOLUTION NO. 72-9
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of North
Richland Hills and of its citizens ,that the following policies be adopted with
respect to acquisition of real estate for public purposes in instances where
Federal Grant funds are to be wholly or partially used, and
WHEREAS, the adoption of such policies is a condition precedent to the
City of North Richland Hills receiving Federal Grant funds for such purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of North
Richland Hills, Texas, that the following policies shall be employed in all
instances in the acquisition of real estate for public purposes where Federal
Grant funds are to be wholly or partially used:
(1) In acquiring real property, the City will be guided to the greatest
extent practicable under state law, by the land acquisition poli-
cies set out under Section 301 and the provisions of Section 302
of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition
Policies Act of 1970, 42 USCA 4601 et seq;
(2) Property owners will be paid or reimbursed for necessary expenses
as specified in Sections 303 and 304 of such Act;
(3) The costs to the City of providing payments and assistance here-
under shall be borne in accordance with Section 211 of such Act;
(4) Affected persons will be adequately informed of the benefits,
policies and procedures provided in the Regulations in this part;
(5) The City of North Richland Hills will execute such amendments to
applicable contracts, and execute, furnish and be bound by, such
additional documents as the Secretary of Housing and Urban
Development shall determine necessary to effectuate or implement
the policies provided herein.
