ORD INANCE NO. 1:1)
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AND RECEIVING AS A PART OF THE
TOWN OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLSþ TEXASþ CERTAIN TERRITORYþ AS DESCRIB-
ED BY METES AND BOUNDSþ ADJOINING THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS OF NORTH
RICHLAJ.'ID HILLS; PROVIDING THAT UPON ADOPTION HEREOF SAID TERRITORY
SIW..L BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN; PROVIDING FOR RIGHT AND PRIVI-
LEGES OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE DESCRIBED TERRITORY; PROVIDING AN
EFFECT IVE DATE.
WHEREASþ there was filed with the ~or and Council ot
North Richland Hillsþ Texas the affidavit of three inhabitants to-
wit: Roy M. Jenkinsþ Shirley Jenkins and Harry E. Jenkins ot the
hereinafter described territory adjoining the city limits ot North
Riohland Hills wherein affiants set torth that said territory is not
more thain one-halt (1/2) mile in width and is unincorporated; . that
they are three of the voters who voted in tavor ot becoming a part
of the town of North Richland Hills as shown by the petition on fileþ
that a majority ot the inhabitants oA the territory. who are quali-
fied to vote for members of the State Legislature, have votedþ by
signing said petition, in favor of having said territory annexed to
and become a part of the town of North Richland Hills; now there-
f'ore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COtnrCIL OF NORTH RIC~TD
HILLS, TEXAS:
SECT ION I
That the following territory adjoining the limits of the town
of North Richland Hills, Texas, be and the s~e is hereby annexed
to and inoorporated within the corporate limits of North Richland
Hills:
BEGINNING at a point whioh is the Northwest corner of
the intersection of Rufe Snow Road (designated as County Road
NUmber 3051) and the Wautauga-Smithf'ield Road (designated as
County Roads Numbered 4022 and 3022) which is also the most
Northwesterly corner of' the city limits of North Richland Hills
as described in Ordinance No. 39; THENCE North along the West
Right-of-Way line of Rufe Snow Road 2640 feet to the Northwest
corner of the intersection of Rufe Snow Road with the Wautauga-

3036); THENCE Eastwardly along the North Right-of-W~ line of
said County Road No. 3036 to its intersection with Farm to
Market Road No. 1938þ THENCE said line is projected Eastwardly
in a straight line to a point in the Bedfordþ Texas City limits
approximately 1320 feet East of the intersection of said line
with the East line of the B. F. Jones Survey; THID~CE South-
wardly along said City limits to a point in the North line of
the T. Akers Survey; THENCE Westward to a point in the most
Northeasterly corner of the City limits of North Richland Hills
as established by Ordinance No. 39; THENCE Westwardly along
the present Northern City limits of North Richland Hills to the
point of beginning.
SECTION II
That the inhabitants of said territory shall, from and after
adoption of this ordinance, be entitled to all the rights and priv-
ileges of all and every other citizen of the town of North Riohland
Hills, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances thereof.
SECTION III
This ordinance shall take ef'ect and be in full foroe and
effec-I; from and immectiately upon its adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this UJ.1;.day of ~ 1958 there
being present the Mayor and,Î-Councilmen.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
THE STATE OF TEXAS,
COUNTY OF TARRANT
TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS,
TEXAS;
We, the undersigned inhabitants and qualified voters
.f the hereinafter described territory, hereby petition the Mayor
and city council of the town of Nerth Richland Hills, Texas, t.
institute all proceedings and adopt all ordinances, resolutions,
and do all things necessary to annex said hereinafter described
land and territory and make the same a part of the town of North
Richland Hills, Texas, said land and territory being mere
particularly described as follows, T. Wit;

BEGINNHJG at a point which is the Northwest corner of
the intersection of Rufe Snow Road (designated as COU-flty Road
Number 3051) and the Wautauga-8mithfield Road (designated as
County Roads Numbered 4022 and 3022) which is also the most
Northwesterly corner of the City limits of North Riohland Hills
as described in Ordinance No. 39; THENCE North along the West

we are inhabitants of the aboTe described territory and are
qualified te vote for members of the State Legislature, and that
said territory is adjacent to the town of North Richland Hills,
Texas, and hereby consent and agree that the circulation of this
petition is a method satisfactory t. us for the holding .r an
election t. determine whether the inhabitants of said territory
favers such an annexation.
