ORDINANCE NO. 273
AN ORDINANCE RELINQUISHING A CERTAIN PERMANENT EASEMENT
IN THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS ON THE GLENVIEW DRIVE
RIGHT-OF-WAY ON EVANDA P. HALTOM'S PROPERTY TO EVANDA
P. HALTOM AND GIVING UP THE PERMANENT EASEMENT ON THIS
TRACT OF LAND AS DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE THAT THE
CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS MAY HAVE.
WHEREAS, it has been established that a permanent easement
in a certain parcel of land in the Evanda P. Haltom tract involving
the Glenview Drive right-of-way will not be needed now or in the
future for any city improvements thereon, and
WHEREAS, there has been a request that the city relinquish
the permanent easement on this land as described in this ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, the city council has expressed a desire to
recognize and grant this request.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH
RICHLAND HILLS, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That area of land that constitutes a permanent easement on the
Evanda P. Haltom property on the Glenview Drive right-of-way
in the City of North Richland Hills that will not be needed by the
City of North Richland Hills is hereby relinquished and abandoned
by said city and shall, from and after the passage of this or-
dinance no longer be a part of the Glenview Drive right-of-way
of the City of North Richland Hills, said relinquishment of said
permanent easement being more particularly described as follows:
being 0.526 acres of land out of the J. M. Van Dusen
Survey, Tarrant County, Texas and also being a portion of
the tract of land conveyed to Evanda P. Haltom, recorded
in Volume 3185, Page 627, Deed Records, Tarrant County,
Texas and being more particularly described as follows;
BEGINNING at a point situated North 40.0 feet and North
89° 21 ' West 22.01 feet from the Southeast corner of
said Evanda P. Haltom tract.
THENCE South 60° 39' West 24.0 feet;
THENCE North 89° 21' West 1900.31 feet;
THENCE North 0° 39' East 12.0 feet;

THENCE South 89 0 21 ' East 1921.09 feet to place of
BEGINNING and CONTAINING 0.526 acres of land that includes
a strip of land reserved for drainage easement being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point situated 28.0 feet North and North
800 21' West 475.2 feet from the Southeast corner of
said Evanda P. Haltom tract.
THENCE North 890 21' West 15.0 feet;
THENCE North 00 39' East 12.0 feet;
THENCE South 800 21' East 15.0 feet;
THENCE South 00 39' West 12.0 feet. to place of BEGINNING.
SECTION II
The remainder of the Glenview Drive right-of-way not herein
described is hereby affirmed, ratified, reaffirmed and reratified
and no rights are relinquished to any other right-of-way not
specifically described in this ordinance.
SECTION III
In the event any section, clause, sentence, paragraph or
part of this ordinance should for any reason, be adjudged by a
court of competent jurisdiction, to be invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this
ordinance.
SECTION IV
This ordinance shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage and publication as required by law.
