ORDINANCE NO. 1719
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY IN ACCORDANCE
WITH SECTION XXVIII, AMENDMENTS, OF ZONING
ORDINANCE #1080 OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED
BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND
HILLS, JANUARY 9, 1984
AFTER APPROPRIATE NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATION
IS SUBMITTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS BY
THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION:
RESOLVED that on Case No. PZ-91-01 the following described property shall
be rezoned from C-1 to C-2.
BEING Lot 1R, Block 23, C1earview Addition, an addition to the City of
North Rich1and Hills, Tarrant County, Texas as recorded in Volume 388-48,
Page 173, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas.
This property is located at 8001 Grapevine Highway.

ZONING CHANGE
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS
Dear Mr. McIntire:
I regret to inform you that after all of our efforts Mr.
Lerer of Apex Supply has decided he does not want to pursue
the location on Grapevine Highway for his plumbing business.
Another client of mine, however, is planning to put the
property under contract and over the next sixty (60) days
we will try to lease it for him prior to his acquisition.
It is my understanding that we will need to notify you and
the City Council of our intended user for the property prior
to any zoning change. This needs to be done within ninety
(90) days of the City Council meeting which was February 25,
1991. It is certainly very possible that the eventual user
for the property will fit nicely into C-1 zoning and the
zoning change will not be required. At any rate, please
rest assured that I will communicate with you as to our
progress and if any user goes into the property besides Apex
Supply, you will be the first to know.

TO REZONE LOT lR, BLOCK 23, CLEARVIEW ADDITION,
FROM ITS PRESENT CLASSIFICATION OF C-l (COMMERCIAL) TO C-2
(COMMERCIAL) (LOCATED AT 8001 GRAPEVINE HIGHWAY)
Mayor Brown opened the Public Hearing and called for those wishing to speak in favor
to please come forward.
The following spoke in favor of rezoning Lot IR, Block 23, Clearview Addition from C-l
to C-2:
Stephen Scott, 10147 Caribou Trail, Dallas, represented the applicant
Myrtis Byrd, 7312 Hialeah Circle West.
Mayor Brown called for those wishing to speak in opposition to come forward.
No one appeared to speak in opposition to the request.
Mayor Brown closed the Public Hearing.

ORDINANCE NO. 1719
APPROVED
Councilman Garvin moved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Davis, to approve Ordinance
No. 1719 with the stipulation that if financing was not obtained within 90 days it would
be brought back to the Council.
Motion carried 5-1; Mayor Pro Tern Davis, Councilwoman Spurlock, Councilmen Sibbet,
Garvin and Scoma voting for and Councilman Welch voting against.
