HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2107 ORDINANCE NO. 2107 AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS AMENDING ORDINANCE #1972, AN AMENDMENT TO THE FIRE PREVENTION ORDINANCE, REGARDING THE ASSESSMENT OF FEES FOR EXCESSIVE FALSE ALARMS AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS: 1. That, SUBSECTION 5 OF SECTION C OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 1972, be amended to read as follows: "Should any fee assessed pursuant to this Section remain unpaid in excess of sixty (60) days from the date the charge is billed, a collection fee in the amount of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and interest in the amount of twelve percent (12%) per annum shall be assessed on the outstanding balance and shall be payable by the owner/occupant of the premises in addition to the original fee. The owner/occupant shall also be responsible for any legal fees or costs incurred by the City of North Richland Hills in the enforcement of this Section. " 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THIS 25TH DAY OF MARCH, 1996. ". .,.
