This desire has in no way detracted from my commitment to serve the city of North Richland Hills as a city councilman. While we have not always agreed on issues brought before us for consideration and action, I can truly say there has never been a time when a disagreement has tainted my respect for you as an individual and friend. I believe it is timely for me to offer my services as a member on the BISD Board. If it is the consensus of the voting citizenry of the BISD communities that I be elected to serve as a Board Member, I will attempt to serve with the same dedication and tenacity as I have for the City of North Richland Hills. Therefore, while it is not required that I do so, I hereby offer my resignation to Place 5 on the city council effective May 2, 1992. It is my intent to notify you of my plans in sufficient time for you to take necessary action to include .y Place in the May 2nd election. I will remain available to fulfil my duties as a city councilman until the effective date of the resignation. While I will not officially be involved in the affairs of our city after May 2nd, please be assured my interest and willingness to assist you in its development will remain vibrant and available to you.
