ORDINANCE NO. 349
AN ORDINANCE" DEFINING A COMMON BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE
CITIES OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS AND HURST, TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR CONTINUITY OF ZONING OF CERTAIN AREAS
LYING WITHIN SAID BOUNDARY AND PROVIDING FOR A MAP OF SAID '
COMMON BOUNDARY TO BE FILED IN CONNECTION HEREWITH
WHEREAS, certain conflicts of jurisdiction have arisen between
the cities of North Richland Hills and Hurst, Tarrant County, Texas, by
reason of overlapping ordinances of annexations; and,
WHEREAS, such conflicts result in confusion and create un-
certainty adverse to the interests of each city and to the orderly and
properly development of the areas and territories involved; and
WHEREAS, said cities have reached an accord satisfactory to
each city based upon practical considerations designed for advoidance
of the above mentioned undesirable results, and also based upon a
general drainage pattern deemed desirable and the most advantageous
and economical development of the areas involved in carrying out the
necessary required functions of city government; and,
WHEREAS, the re-alignment of municipal boundary lines between
the cities of Hurst and North Richland Hills by this Ordinance is to the
best interest of the citizens of both municipalities;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, that: the common
boundary line previously existing between Hurst and North Richland Hills
be re-defined by relinquishing to the City of Hurst the hereinafter de-
scribed property previously located within North Richland Hills, to-wit:
Tract I:
BEGINNING at a point at the intersection of the north
right-of-way line of Pipeline Road and the west right-
of-way line of I-820;

THENCE N. 420 18' 56 II E for a distance of 44.61
feet to a point in the west right-of-way of I-820;
THENCE N. 010 58' 20 II E along the west right-
of-way line of I-820 a distance of 1,029.15 feet
to a point;
THENCE N. 090 50' 04" W along the west right-
of-way line of I-820 a distance of 576.21 feet
to a point;
THENCE around a curve to the left having a
radius of 1,305.4 feet and along the west right-
of -way line of I-820, a distance of O. 80 feet to
a point;
THENCE around a curve to the left having a
radius of 1,305. 4 feet along the west right-of _
way line of I-820, a distance of 304.16 feet to
a point;
THENCE continuing around a curve to the left
having a radius of 1,305.4 feet along the west
right-of-way of I-820, a distance of 563.44
feet to a point;
THENCE N. 470 57' W along the southwest right-
of-way line of I-820, a distance of 514.98 feet
to a point;
THENCE around a curve to the left having a
radius of 1, 305. 39 feet along the southwest
right-of -way line of I-820, a distance of
162. 22 feet to a point;
THENCE N 000 11' W a distance of 664. 05 feet
to a point in the. north right-of-way of I-820;
THENCE around a curve to the right having a
radius of 1, 508.39 feet along the north right-
of-way of I-820, for a distance of 222. 79 feet
to a point;
THENCE S 820 53' 15 II E a distance of 944. 32
feet along the north right-of-way of I-820 to
a point in the west right-of-way of I-820;
THENC E N 070 06' 45" E a distance of 87 feet
along the west right-of-way line of I-820 to a
point in the north right-of-way of 1-820;
THENCE around a curve to the left having a
radius of 1, 305. 39 feet along the north right-
of-way of I-820, 555.68 feet to a point;

THENCE S 720 43' 22 II E along the north
right-of-way line of I-820, 64.00 feet to
a point in the West line of the E. S. Carder
Survey, A-308;
THENCE S 00000' 53" W 3,044. 50' more
or less along the west line of the E. S.
Carder Survey A-308 to the northeast
corner of the Phillips Addition;
THENCE S 890 53' 40" W along the north
line of the Phillips Addition, 472.89 feet
to a point out in the right-of-way of I-820;
THENCE S 000 05' 33 II E along the west
line of said Phillips Addition, a distance
of 448. 38 feet to a point in the north right-
of-way line of Pipeline Road;
THENCE S 890 52' 40" Wa10ng the north
right-of-way line of Pipeline Road, 354.59
feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
TRACT II.
BEGINNING at a point 15.0 feet north of
the north right-of-way of Bedford Euless
Road, said point being 128. 40 feet west
of the southeast corner of the Town and
Country Estates, North Rich1and Hills as
recorded in Vol. 388-22, Page 51, Deed
Record, Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE: Westerly and parallel with the
north right-of-way line of Bedford Euless
Road, 626.49 feet to a point in the right-
of-way line of 121-A;
THENCE: N 780 12' W along the north
right-of-way line of Bedford Euless Road
and the south right-of-way line of Hvvy.
121-A, 78. 94 feet to a point;
THENCE: N 000 E 480 feet across State
Highway 121-A to a point in the north
right-of-way line of said State Highway
121-A;
THENCE: In a southwesterly direction to
a point in the west right-of-way line of
Mesa Verda Trail said point being 22.0
feet south of the south property line of
Lot 12, Block "A", of the Richland Oaks
Addition;
THENCE S 600 57' W 159.64 feet along the
north right-of-way of Highway 121-A to a
point;

THENCE: West 260.71 feet along the south
property line of Lots 3 and 13 Block "A II of
the Richland Oaks Addition, said line also
being the north right-of-way line of Highway
121-A, to a point in the East right-of-way line
of Oakridge Terrace;
THENCE: S 000 12' W 134. 30 feet along the
east right-of-way line of Oakridge Terrace
to a point;
THENCE: N 890 49' Wa distance of 553.10
feet along the north right-of-way of Highway
121-A (also being the south line of Lot 18,
Richland Oaks Addition) to a point;
THENCE: S 340 08' W 62. 68 along the north
right-of-way of 121-A to a point in the north
right-of-way of Highway 121-A;
THENCE: N 600 22' W 100.18 feet along the
north right-of-way of 121-A to a point in the
north right-of-way line of Highway 121-A;
THENCE: N 770 26' W 100. 25 feet along the
right-of-way of 121-A to a point in the north
right-of-way line of Highway 121-A said point
also being in the north right-of-way line of
Bedford Euless Road;
THENCE: S 690 19' E along the old north
right-of-way line of Bedford Euless Road,
a distance of 665. 26 feet to a point;
THENCE: S 840 21' E along the north right-
of-way line of the old Bedford Euless Road,
122.83 feet to the intersecting point of the
west right-of-way line of Oakridge Terrace;
THENCE: S 890 49' E a distance of 650' to
a point in the old north right-of-way of
Bedford Euless Road;
THENCE: S 890 30' E for a distance of 553. 90
feet to a point;
THENCE: North 15.0 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING.
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that the attached map marked "Exhibit
A", encompassing the territories above described be and the same is
hereby ordered filed as an attachment to this Ordinance.
The official map and boundaries of the City of North Richland Hills
is hereby amended to give effect to this ordinance.

The effect of this ordinance is contingent upon the passage by
Hurst of a similar ordinance, accepting the territories described above
as Tract I and Tract IT to the City of Hurst, and this ordinance shall
become effective only after its passage by the City Council of the City
of North Richland Hills on two separate readings and the final passage
of such accepting ordinance by the City of Hurst.
Should any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance
be held to be invalid by the Courts of this State for any reason, such
holding shall not be construed so as to affect any other section, sentence,
clause or phrase hereof, it being the intent that all other sections,
sentences, clauses and phrases hereof shall stand, notwithstanding any
such invalidity, and the City Council of Hurst declares that it would,
nevertheless, have adopted all other such parts and portions of this
ordinance save and accept such invalid portions.
