HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ 1995-06-08 Minutes MINUTES FOR THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHlAND HillS, TEXAS June 8, 1995 - 7:30 p.m. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman James Brock at 7:30 p.m. ROLL CALL PRESENT Chairman Members James Brock Richard Davis Don Bowen Victor Baxter Ron Lueck Paul Miller David Barfield Barry LeBaron Clayton Husband Gregory Arrington Planning Director Planner Plans Examiner CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES OF MAY 25, 1995 Mr. Lueck made the motion to approve the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Mr. Barfield. The motion carried 5-0, with Mr. Brock and Mr. Miller abstaining due to absence at the previous meeti ng. ZONING CASES None. PLATS AND SUBDIVISIONS 1. PS 95-12 Request of John Volkman for Preliminary Plat of lots 1-19, Block 12, Stonybrooke Addition. This property is located at the west end of Stephanie Drive. Mr. Gordon Swift, 900 Monroe Street, Fort Worth, came forward to represent the developer. Chairman Brock stated the Commission would like to see one of the lots removed to meet the required lot widths and setbacks. Mr. Davis stated that if the drainage channel can be placed within the 30-foot easement, he would prefer that solution rather than a 50-foot easement. He stated the channel must be fully concrete lined. Chairman Brock stated the developer has agreed to all other engineering comments. Mr. Davis made the motion to approve PS 95-12 subject to the following requirements: subject to engineering comments, and that the minimum lot widths be met by removing one lot from the subdivision. The motion was seconded by Mr. Baxter. The motion carried 7-0. Ill: M;nut~ - Page 2 June 8, 1995 2. PS 95-18 3. PS 95-20 STAFF REPORT CITIZEN COMMENTS ADJOURNMENT Request of Melvin Wood for Final Plat of Lot 1, Block 16, Stonybrooke Addition. This property is located in the 8600 block of Rumfield Road. Mr. Rich DeOtte, with Spiars & DeOtte, came forward to represent the owner. He stated the owner has agreed to all engineering comments. Mr. Barfield made the motion to approve PS 95-18. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lueck. The motion carried 7-0. Request of Richland Hills Church of Christ for Amended Plat of Lots 3R, 4 and 5, Block 7, Meadow Lakes Addition. This property is located in the 5000 block of Meadow Lakes Drive. Mr. Davis made the motion to approve PS 95-20. The motion was seconded by Mr. Bowen. The motion carried 7-0. Mr. LeBaron stated on July 31 st, the American Planning Association will hold a workshop on municipal officials liability. He stated the workshop will be held at the NRH Recreation Center. None.
