BA 95-34 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICH lAND HillS, TEXAS OCTOBER 17, 1995 - 7:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tom Duer at 7:30 p.m. PRESENT Chairman Members Dr. Tom Duer Bill Schopper Jimmy Bellomy Robert Skinner Perry Christensen Barry LeBaron Gregory Arrington None Planning Director Plans Examiner ABSENT Mr. Skinner made the motion to approve the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Mr. Schopper. The motion carried 5-0. Chairman Duer stated that the State law requires four affirmative votes for a variance request to pass, regardless of the number of members in attendance. He stated the Board consists of 5 voting members and 2 alternate members. Request of Jon Fann to allow a carport to encroach the side and rear building lines on Lot 5, Block 1, Londonderry Addition. (Located at 7908 Londonderry Drive) Chairman Duer opened the Public Hearing and called for those wishing to speak to come forward at this time. Mr. Jon Fann, 7908 Londonderry Drive, came forward to speak. He stated there is a slab at the end of the driveway he would like to cover. He stated the slab extends all the way to the property line and he would like to cover the slab. He stated the neighbor to the north has no objection. Chairman Duer asked of what type of material the carport would be constructed. Mr. Fann stated it would be a metal carport. Mr. Skinner asked if the carport would be enclosed. Mr. Fann stated no. Chairman Duer asked how the water will drain off the carport. Mr. Fann stated the water will drain towards his driveway to the street. Mr. Christensen made the motion to approve BA 95-34 as requested. The motion was seconded by Mr. Bellomy. The motion carried 5-0. None. Mr. LeBaron reminded the Board of the Boards and Commission reception on Thursday. He stated the Council has also been discussing the masonry requirement as it relates to stucco exteriors.
