Call to order Chairperson Kathy Luppy called to order the meeting of the Keep NRH Beautiful Commission at 6:50 p.m. on January 15, 2008 in the Neighborhood Services Office. Roll Call The following persons were present: Commission Members: Kathy Luppy Chairperson Holly Bullington Commission Member Doris Tipps Commission Member Darla Batchler Commission Member Dianne Spradling Commission Member Dianna Mader Commission Member Teresa Hebert Commission Member Absent: Jay Garner Commission Member Staff Members: Debbie York Environ. Res. Coordinator Candice Simmons Secretary 2. Approval of minutes from last meeting No Minutes From 11-13-07 No Quorum Dianne Spradling motioned to increase the Green Campus Award to $150.00 and Teresa Hebert seconded the motion. 3. Governor's Community Achievement Award Application The Commission discussed the outline of what they starting with community leadership. They spoke about the scores I~~r last year, which was 96.7 out of 100 and they took 3`d place. "hhe commission spoke about taking each section of the application and revising the numbers for .Ian. and Dec. The members are going to review each section and email Debbie the changes, which she will discuss with Mary Peters for input. Debbie also applied for Portable Recycling Bins for special events. Debbie asked Mary Peters for a media award at the May 13`f' City Rec. Event. The commission would like to nominate Kathy Luppy for the award. 4. Environmental Education Awards Application Debbie informed the commission of the $2000.00 dollars available. 'hhey reviewed the applications and made changes, and would like to add incentives for collection projects. The applications will be due out February 1, 2008. 5. Proiect Green Sponsorship Debbie informed the Commission of the $2200.00 dollars they have raised. They discussed the amount of the money the commission would like to sponsor. Holly I3ullington motioned to sponsor $250.00 dollars and Dianna Mader seconded the motion. 6. Staff Report Debbie informed the members of Joe Pack having a hold on the Bike Park. She spoke about the Great American Clean Up and the Adopt a Highway Program and reviewing the tree ordinance, which they will discuss further in the February meeting.
