HomeMy WebLinkAboutZBA 1988-04-21 Minutes . MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS APRIL 21, 1988 - 7:00 P. M. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Ron Hubbard, at 7:36 P. M. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Chairman Vice Chairman Member Alt. Member Dir. Economic Dev. Dir. Planning/Dev. P & Z Coordinator Ron Hubbard Forrest Grubb Jeff Bunting Jim Kemp C.A. Sanford Richard Royston Wanda Calvert ABSENT: Harold Schubert Billy Cypert CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES OF MARCH 17, 1988 Mr. Grubb made the motion to approve the minutes as written. This motion was seconded by Mr. Kemp and the motion carried 4-0. . 1. BA 88-3 Request of Curtis Hodnett to vary from the Zoning Ordinance #1080 on Lot 1, Block 4, Holiday West Addition, to allow him to locate a pool in the side yard and a variance from the 15 foot side street building line. This property is located at 5527 Meadow Oak. Chairman Hubbard opened the Public Hearing and called for those wishing to speak in favor of this request to please come forward. Mr. Hodnett came forward. He said he wishes to have this pool put in his side yard because the back yard is not sufficient because of the power line. Mr. Hodnett stated he had checked with all his neighbors and they have no problem with it. . Mr. Grubb asked if it would be 5 feet from the foundation of the house. Mr. Royston stated that a 5 foot clearance is allowable. He said you could go closer, but you would have to have it engineered. Mr. Royston said the diagram shows 7 feet. Mr. Hodnett said he would like to reduce it to 5 feet. Mr. Royston said then there would be a 12 foot easement instead of a 10 foot. Chairman Hubbard asked if Mr. Hodnett had neighbors to the south. Mr. Hodnett stated he does have neighbors to the south, but their houses face the same way as his. Mr. Grubb asked if there had been any correspondence. Mrs. Calvert stated there had been none. Chairman Hubbard called for those wishing to speak in opposition to this request to please come forward. There being no one wishing to speak, the Chairman closed the Public Hearing. Mr. Kemp made the motion to approve BA 88-3 as requested. This motion was seconded by Mr. Grubb and the motion carried 4-0. The meeting adjourned at 7:40 P. M. L~ Chairman Zoning Board of Adjustment .
