Meeting Minutes
1. Call to order
Chairperson Kathy Luppy called to order the meeting of the Keep NRH Beautiful
Commission at 6:45 p.m. on March 25, 2008 in the Neighborhood Services Office.
Roll Call
The following persons were present:

2. Approval of minutes from last meeting
Kathy Luppy moved to approve the minutes of the February 26, 2008 meeting: Doris
Tipps motioned to approve the minutes Holly Bullington seconded the motion. The
minutes were accepted as written.
3. Environmental Education Grants
The Commission reviewed the applications for Walker's Creek Elementary and North
Richland Middle School. Walker's Creek Elementary had asked for $600.00 dollars
for annuals. The commission suggested to Debbie that it would be better to plant
perennials or native plants that would need less water and would adapt better to our
climate. North Richland Middle School had several projects they would like to
complete, and have applied for a grant at Lowe's for $5000.00 as well as ours. Dianne
Spradling motioned to give $600.00 dollars to Walkers Creek and the remaining
balance of $1400.00 to North Richland Middle School and Holly Bullington seconded
the motion. The motion was passed.
4. Yard of the Month
Debbie informed the commission that Dianne and Teresa would be the Judges for this
year's Yard of the Month contest. The contest will start the fourth Monday of April,
and will end in August. Debbie advised the commission that May's may change due
to the Holidays.
5. Staff Report
Debbie reminded the Commission of the Project Green Event and asked the
commission if they would be interested in participating at this year's Concert in the
Park Events. The Commission discussed it and they aren't interested at this time. The
next meeting will be held April 15, 2005.
Kathy Luppy adjourned the meeting at 7:10 p.m.
