I. Call The Meeting to Order
Chairman Durko called the meeting to order at 5:32 pm.
II. Approval of March 12, 2008 Regular Meeting Minutes
Kristyn Albert made the motion to approve the March 12, 2008 Regular Meeting
Minutes. Olivia Sandoval seconded the motion and the motion passed
unanimously.
III. Overview of YAC and Review of the Year's Accomplishments
Elizabeth Reining reviewed the purpose of the Youth Advisory Committee and
this year's activities.
IV. April Basketball Tournament:
1. Team Captains' Meeting
2. Review of YAC Duties
The basketball tournament was cancelled due to no teams signing up to
participate. This item was tabled indefinitely.
V. Sounds of Spring Concert Series Volunteer Opportunity
Elizabeth Reining informed the Committee that the Parks and Recreation
Department was looking for volunteers to help with the Sounds of Spring Concert
Series.
VI. Officer Nominations
Olivia Sandoval and Paige Burroughs were nominated for Chair. Paige
Burroughs was nominated for Vice Chair. Olivia Sandoval and Morgan Chaney
were nominated for Secretary. And, Reed Turnage was nominated for
Treasurer.
VII. City News and Information
Elizabeth Reining updated the Committee about the opening of the new library.
VIII. Tenth Anniversary Celebration
This item was tabled until after adjournment.
IX. Adjournment
Chairman Durko adjourned the meeting at 5:51 pm.
