a carport to be built beyond the side

neighborhood.
Mr. Erck asked if this was an addition

plus the carport.
Chairman Roseberry asked if the
carport was attached to the house. He
said that is a requirement in the
building code.
.
Mr. Gaunt said it was not.
Mr. Fenimore asked how far it was from
the house.
Mr. Gaunt said it was 18 inches.
Mr. Fenimore said the building code
requirement could be complied with by
attaching it with a two by four.
Mr. Gaunt said in order to attach the
carport to the house, they would have
to change the slope of it.
Chairman Roseberry said since the
Building Official did not say they
should also request a variance to
allow it to not be attached, the Board
would not consider that.
