MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS MARCH 16, 1978 CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment was called to order by the Chairman, H.B. Helton at 7:00 P.M. ROLL CALL PRESENT: H.B. Helton Dr. E.K. Hahn Jesse Range Jo Ann Williams ABSENT: CITY STAFF PRESENT: CITY INSPECTOR CLERK Jack Roseberry Gary Caldwell Pauline Spain CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES Mr. Range moved, seconded by Jo Ann Williams, OF FEBRUARY 16, 1978 to approve the minutes as written. NEW BUSINESS BA 78-2 APPROVED Request of Jo Ann Burkhart to vary from the Zoning Ordinance #179 at Block 11, Lot B, Richland Terrace Addition for sales and rental of recreational vehicles. . . Jo Ann Burkhart presented this request. Mrs. Burkhart brought brochures of compact campers. She stated there is no other outlet for these in Tarrant County. This is an inexpensive & easy way for a family to vacation. This property is perfect for our need. This type of business will be quiet and clean. Mrs. Burkhart stated she and her husband were in the manufacturing of camping trailers for a while. Mr. Helton asked if there would be enough room on the property. Mrs. Burkhart said she felt there would be ample room as the campers are small and compact. Dr. Hahn and Jo Ann Williams discussed the difference in commercial useage. Jo Ann asked if there would be any repair work done on the premises. Mrs. Burkhart stated very little, change tire & replace rods in roof of trailer. Mr. Taylor, owner of the property, stated he wanted a new building as badly as the City wanted him to build one; but he had to lease the building first to regåjn some of the money he had spent in repairing the building. There was much discussion between the Board members and Mrs. Burkhart regarding trade in vehicles. Mr. Range moved, seconded by Dr. Hahn to grant the variance to Jo Ann Burkhart for use of Non- conforming building on Lot B, Block 11, Richland Terrace Addition to sell and rent new and/or used non motorized recreational vehicles, such as camping trailers, tent trailers, pick up camper tops and parts associated with the above. Motor homes and mobile homes are excluded from this variance. Motion carried 4-0. Mrs. Burkhart thanked the Board for their time and thoroughness in handling this request.
