MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF
THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF
THE CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS,
TEXAS, THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, 1976
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by the
Chairman, H.B. Helton at 7:35 P.M.

CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
Mr. Trotter moved, seconded by Jack Roseberry
to approve the minutes as written.- Motion
carried 3-0 with Jay Jones and H.B. Helton
abstaining as they ~ere absent at the October
meeting.
DECISION OF BA 75-7
Mr. Roseberry moved, seconded by ~1r. Trotter
to deny BA 75-7. Motion carried 3-0. Dr.
Hahn stated the Board felt this request was
strickly for economic convience of the applicant
and after surveying various apartments in the
City that the parking facilities would be in-
adequate.

NEW BUSINESS
SA 76-1
Request of Henry Besson to replace fence
along property line in front and side of house
located at the corner of Harmonson Road and
Flory Street.
.
Mr. Besson presented this request stating he
purchased this property 6 months ago. He had
property replated and built a house on one lot.
He would like to replace fence on the property
line to keep trespassers off property. He satd
once a fellow on a motorcycle drove across it.
He stated he has two German Shepard dogs and
would like for them to be free to run around
the house. He has had burglers where he now lives
and feels the fence with the dogs will be pro-
tection for his wife when he is away from home.
Mr. Helton asked the kind of fence and how high
it would be. My'. Besson answered, 5 foot chain
link. Mr. Roseberry questioned the safety of
children. Mr. Besson said the links are very
small and he didn't think a hand could go through.
Mr. Bob Shade stated Mr. Besson could be liable
in case of accident caused by obstruction of view.

t1r. Trotter moved, seconded by Mr. Jones to
grant this request with the understanding that
nothing will be planted along the fence to
obstruct the view. Motion carried 5-0.
BA 76-2
Request of Jerry Birdwell to vary from the
portion of ordinance No. 179 which requires a
6 foot sight barring fence between Commercial
and Multiple Family Zoning.
Mr. Birdwell presented this request. He stated
Mr. Pratt owns two lots on Flory Street abutting
his property on Rufe Snow. Mr. Pratt doesn1t
want a sight barring fence behind his property.
Mr. Jones moved, seconded by Mr. Trotter to
grant this request as long as property on Flory
Street stays the same and ownership stays the
same. Motion carried 5-0.
