HILlS, TEXAS, HELD AT THE CITY
HALL, 4101 ~10RGAN CIRCLE, TUES-
DAY, DECEMBER 2, 1969 - 7:30 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting of the Planning and Zoning
Commission was called· to order., by' Mr.
Pyron. He announced to the audiance
the case PZ 69-41 would not be heard
at this meeting. This being a man-
datory action as only three Zoning
Board members were in attendance,
and one member, l'Ir. John Crawford
abstaining in acting on this case,
which would not leave a quorum
present. Kenneth D. Chesnut, Attorney
for certain citizens present to pro-
test the proposed case PZ 69-41
formaly voiced a protest stating
that the case should be heard with
the members present. He voiced a
question as to legality of the
proceedings. lÆr. Pyron ruled that
the case would not be heard at this
time, and if and when it was reset
to be heard it would be readvertised
and all interested parties within 200
feet would be notified by certified
mail.

AND ZONING :r.1EETING PZ 69~40 Request of Mr. F .3. Hudgins to rezone
36.476 acres out of the Wm. Mann Survey
from its present classification of "Agri-
culture" to a proposed classification of
"Local-Retail". 1~. Hudgins carne forward
to present his case to the members of the
Commission. He stated he had owned his
property for a long time and wanted "Local-
Retail" zoning. It is 1,328 feet North of
H.L. Hunt property. Since this area did not

have any "weal-Retail" service it would
benefit the area. Vœ. F .L. Vollintine came
forward in favor the zoning request stating
this area needs progress. l1r. Harry T. Thach
came forward stating he owned property South
of 1vfr. Hudgins, and was in favor of his zoning
request. After consideration of the Board ~~.
Hudgins was asked if utili ties, sewer, and
water had been considered. }{r. Hudgins stated
that he had been in contact with Mr. Shutt for
approximately six months, and had been assured
that he could be served with water and sewer
from either the Douglas Lane supply, or a new
supply to be furnished the Hunt Tract. He stated
construction would begin on a limited basis in
approximately six months if utilities material-
ized. After careful consideration the Commission
on a motion by ~fr. Sprott, seconded by 1·fr. Craw-
ford voted unanimously to recommend approval.

1-íotion to adjourn was made by 1;;1r. Crawford,
seconded by ÞIr. Pyron. l-ïotion carried unan-
imously. Meeting adjourned 8:00 P.lf. December
2, 1969
