Clarence Pyron, Vice Chairman, 1·fr. James \tvalker, and IvIr. John Crawford, Administrative Staff 1·1r. C.R. Ballenger, Director of Public 1r{orks, and ?1rs. Terrell. II. CALL TO ORDER: 7 : 45 P. ~1. III. CONSIDERATION OF 1·1INUTES: ~lotion was made by ~lr. Crawford for approval of the minutes of the previous meet- ing. ¥.ir. vlalker seconded the motion. Þfotion carried unanimously. IV. ZONING CASES: PZ 68-24 . PZ 68-25. . PZ 68-27 Request of 1'1r. Phil vÝeaver to rezone 20 acres out of the ~v. W. Wallace Survey from its present classification of IF-12 One Family Dwelling to a proposed classification of Multiple Family Dwelling. Ìv!r. Harold Hammet represented ~1"r. Weaver and presented the case to the board members. He stated the proposed zoning was the best for the development of this area. },Ir. vlalker read the names of the home owners that had signed a petition of protest against the rezoning. Members of the audiance were asked to voice their opinion if so desired. After discussion on the rezoning, l~. Pyron asked for a two minute recess. l1r. Hammett came for- ward for rebutal of the issue. 11otion was made by 1·fT!-. Crawford for denial. 1-'1r. vlalker seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Request of ~~. F.D. Culp to rezone 5.18 and 0.375 acres out of the J.M. Crockett and J.W. Wood Survey. from its present classification of Agriculture to a proposed classification of Light Industrial. 1-fr. Culp came forward to present his case to the members of the board asking the rezoning for the purpose of building a plant for the manufacturing of mobile homes. He stated it would help the community because of employment would be available. The members of the zoning board asked l-fr. Culp if he was agreeable to delete the 0.375 from the zoning request. ~'~. Culp agreed to this request. The members of the board voted to delete this property. l':Iotion was made by r,1r. l'lalker. 1·1r. Crawford seconded the motion. lcíotion carried unaniluously. ~Iotion was made by 1Jlr. Crawford for approval of the rezoning. lir. 1talker seconded the motion. I-lotion carried unanirnously. Request of }1r. David M. Sherrer and 1-1"r. Joe Donald Meredith to rezone 23.22 and 77.05 acres out of the J.C. Yates Survey from its present classification of Agriculture ~ . to a proposed classification of Industrial. Nir. Pyron read the legal and r.fr. Ballenger checlced the legal. After review by the members of the board l-lr. ~'lalker rnade a motion of approval as submitted. l.fr. Crawford seconded the motion. II/lotion carried unanimously. PZ 68-28 Request of IJfr. David 11. Sherer and 1vfr. Joe Donald 1,'feredith to rezone 14.6 acres out of the J. c. Yates Survey from its present classification of Agriculture to a proposed classification of local-Retail. l1ifr. Pyron read the legal and members of the board discussed the request for rezoning. l.-1otion was made by 11r. Craw- ford for approval as submitted. }1r. ~'lalker seconded the motion. I-lotion carried unanimously. PZ 68-29 Request of 1v1r. David 11. Sherer and }:ír. Joe Donald l·íeredi th to rezone 50.47 acres out of the J. c. Yates Survey from its present classification of Agriculture to a proposed classification of ~fultiple Family. 1-.ír. Pyron read the legal and 1~. Sherer presented the exhibit of each of the request to the board for review. After discussion by the members of the board, }~. Walker made a motion of approval as submitted. ¥lr.
