1. DISCUSSION - LOTS 1 AND 2 BLOCK B, HICHLAND OAKS ADDITIO'W
After reading the legal notice that was published in the
Daily News Texan, Mr. Simmons, Attorney at Law, discussed
the matter with the board on behalf of the applicant Dr.
Roy L. Bowden. Motion was made by Buddy Oxford and seconded
by Clarence Pyron that the request be approved. The motion
carried 3-0.
2. DISCUSSION - 9.27 ACRES OF THE W.W. WALLACE SURVEY,
ABSTRACT 1606
After reading the legal notice that was published in the
Daily News Texan, Mr. Jack York advised the Commission that
he wished to have the aforementioned property rezoned from
Class "A" Residential to Local Retail BusIness. Motion was
made by Buddy Oxford and seconded by Clarence Pyron that the
request be approved. The motion carried 3-0.

After reading the legal notice that was published in the
Daily News Texan, Mr. King appeared before the commission
and requested that the above mentioned property be rezoned
from Class A Residential to Industrial. Mr. French then
asked for comments from the floor. Mr. Jackson, a property
owner in this vicinity came forward and said he was in pro-
test of this zoning and he wanted to know if they would con-
struct an eitht foot concrete fénce or wall between his pro-
perty and the property that was to be rezoned. After much
discussion it was the boards' opinion that the zoning should
be approved. Motion was made by Mr. Pyron and seconded by
Mr. Oxford to approve the rezoning as requested from Class
A Residential to Industrial. Motion carried 3-0.
