MEMBERS PRESENT: Clarence Pyron, Bill Marshall, Alan Hamm, C. W. Adcø~k and Price Hubbard. II. CALL TO ORDER: 7:35 P.M. III. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES: Motion was made by Mr. Marshall for approval of the minutes of the previous meeting with the amendment that Mr. Hamm was pre- sent. This due to the fact that Mr. Hamm's name was deleted from the minutes of the August 16, 1965 meeting. Mr. Pyron seconded the motiøn. Motion carried 3 to O. IV. ZONING CASES : PZ 65-13. Request of Claude Griffith to re-zøne Tract 13 F, out of the W. W. Wallace Survey, Abstract 1606, to the City of North Richland Hills, Texas, consisting of 10 acres of land, more or less, fronting on both State Highway 121 and Smithfield Road; from its present classification of Class "An Residential to a proposed classificatiQn of Lecal Retail. Mr. Hamrn read the Legal Notice aloud and stipulated the typographical error on line two of paragraph thirteen, be corrected to read 19.4 feet instead of 119.4 feet. Mr. Claude Griffith explained the geographical location of the property and asked for it to be zøned Local Retail as formerly requested. Mr. Marshall made the motion the request be approved. Mr. Pyron seconded the motion. M~tion carried 3-0. PZ 65-14. Request of Mr. S. S. Durham to re-zone Lot 5 ef Block M in the Richland Oaks Addition of the City af North Rich- land Hills, Texas, fram its present classification of Class 'fA" Residential to a proposed classification of Local Retail. Mr. Hamm read the Legal Notice aloud. Mr. S. S. Durham told of his plans to build a small Retail Grocery Store on the lot. Mr. Alfred Scheuerman of 4813 Wyoming told the members a Grocery Store on this lot would lower the value of his residential property and would create a hazard for the neighborhood children. John G. Hedberg, Gale Smith, and Mr. Bobby Jack Pack also expressed opposition te the re- zQning. After further discussion Mr. Pyron made a motion to deny the request. Mr. Marshall seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. Mr. Hamm signed the disapproval instrument. PZ 65-16. . PZ 65-17 . v. ~ (2) Request ef Richland Enterprises, Incorporated, to re-zone a 27.62 acre tract of land out of the W. W. Wallace Survey, Abstract No. 1606 to the City of North Richland Hills, Texas, from its present classification of Class "A" Residential to a proposed classification of Class "B" Residential. Mr. Hamm announced that the consideration of Case PZ 65-16 would be delayed until a later date due to the fact that he has an interest in the case and would have to disqualify himself I which would result in not havi:ng' suffloi;en'tl,:,:.eìllbers present to form a quorum. Request of Mr. E. P. Haltom to re-zone vacant acreage tract lying north of Pipeline Road and west øf Rufe Snow in the City of North Rlchland Hills, frem its present classifi- cation of Class "A" Residential to a prøposed classification of Local Retail. Mr. Hamm read the Legal Notice aloud. Mr. R. M. Roden, Agent for E.P. Haltom came forward and dis- cussed the case. Mr. E. P. Haltom also discussed the ad- vantages of the re-zoning. Mr. Marshall made a motion fer approval with the contention that Mr. Haltøm would cooperate with the City of North Rich1and Hills in the future plans to widen Rufe Snøw Drive as far as his providing right ef way property. Mr. pyren seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. MOTION TO ADJOURN: Mation te adjourn was made by Mr. Marshall and was seconded by Mr. Pyrøn. Motion carried 3-0.
