Members Present: Messers Porter, Taylor, Oxford, and French. 1. DISCUSSION: LarS 1 through 18 OF BLOCK "D" OF THE LYNN- CHEST ADDITION: ~r. Arnold came forward ~nd said there had been no great changes in the situation since the last request for rezoning. Dúring the discussion Mr. Martin Miller, 7817 Mary Frances spoke in opposition of the change for the same reasons as before 00 Traffic Increase - hazard to children, (2) amply served by commercial prc)perty, () poss1bl11 ty of decrease of property value, (4) bought property in first place be- cause it was quiet., J. B. Clingmar 7808 Mary Frances, out- side of 200' opposed, (1) moved because of residential, ~) ample commercial, and (J) detract., C. E. Bailey, 7809 Mary Frances opposed, C. L. Beck 7821 Mary Frances, opposed be- cause of possibility of being surrounded on tnree sides, and (2) Mr. Arnold should have rezoned it long ago, M. R. Matthews opposed because if these lots are rezoned the next ones would Lots 1-9 of Block "cn to be rezoned. After con- siderable discussion Mr. Taylor made motion and Mr. Oxford seconded it to approve the application for rezoning. Motion carried )-0. e 2. DISCUSSION: LOT 1606 OF BLOCK 10F OF THE LYNNCREST ADDITION: @) ~ After some discussion Mr. Taylor moved and Mr. Oxford seconded to rezone the above mentioned property. Motion carried J-O. 3. DISCUSSION: LOTS 10 - IJ BLOCK 6~ OF THE HILLVIEW ADD.: Mr. Arnold spoke in favor of the rezoning and then Mr. J. B. Richardson, 4106 Carma acted as spokesman for those opposed to the rezoning and presented a petition with 22 names of people ~~osed to the change in zoni*g. Discussion followed and Mr. Oxford made motion and Mr. Taylor seconded it to recommend denial of the application to rezone the afore- mentioned property. . L&J (/) ~ a... ctS ::E :J a::: o o CO 4.
