Call To Order
Dr. Joe Metcalf called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.

Reading of the Minutes for March 29th, 1993
Approved

4.
Crematorium, Private and non-dedicated cremations
To help curb the cost of maintaince for the Crematorium, The Animal
Care and Control Center will have availiable for the public,
private and non-dedicated cremations.
A determination needs to be made as to the fees charged per animal
for the public, taking into consideration labor, depreaction of
machine, and the cost of gas to operate it. Contacting the Pet
Crematory Association for examples of fees charged for cremation
services.
Davis Blvd. Animal Clinic, will donate a scale to the Animal

Control Department, if they will come and pick it up.

Policy and Procedures: proposed changes
The proposed changes will be made in the Procedures section of the
General Orders Book , Procedure number, S- PR0105 A) 4a "
Euthanania injection may be one of the following:" a) Intracardial
will be removed, only intravenous and intraperitoneal will remain
as meathods of euthanania. This will include the euthanansia of
small wildlife, birds, snakes, and small mammals.
The Policy on the cat Ordinance will be as follows: Cats will be
picked up on complaint only.

Flood Relief Report
Sandy Carter, Supervisor Animal Control Department and her husband
Kent Carter, Firefighter EMT for North Richland Hills, represented
the City of North Richland Hills in the Emergency Animal Relief
efforts in the Mid-West.
On August 14 through the 17 1993 they drove 3000 miles and
delivered approxamatly 3500 Ibs of animal food and various vacines
to cities on both sides of the Mississippi River from Iowa to
Misiouri.

Dog Show Report
Sandy Carter, Supervisor Animal Control advised that the Annual
Canine Karnival will be held on October 30th 1993 coninsiding with
Halloween. All Boaed Members and their families are invited,
invatations will be sent.

T. A. C. A. '93 conference
Pam Burney, Director of Environmental Services, has invited all
board members to the T. A. C. A. '93 conference.

other Items
Have a sign made for the center door leading to the garage area
that reads, no addmittence unless accompanied by a staff member.
Get approval from the City Council to advertise for the City
Licence Canvasing Program.
