Review Minutes from the July
27, 2004 & August 17, 2004,
meetings.
As requested, KNRHB
members were provided
copies of their Year-to-Date
expenditures and Budget
Requests for FlY 2004-2005.
KNRHB members asked if
they could encumber some of
the money in the donation
account (money donated by
Trinity Waste Services per
Solid Waste contract) to use
as follows:
· $600 for Clean
Campus Awards
· $1500 for
Environmental
Education Grants
· $1500 for Pet
Waste Stations

Adopt-A-Spot of the "approved" sign colors blue 24" x 18" sign and 6" x
Signs to replace the orange Adopt- 24" name plate and pay for
A-Spot signs. the signs out of the Trinity
Waste Services donation.

Discuss Keep Debbie York reported that
America Keep America Beautiful
Beautiful members will provide free
Training training to the board & gave
the dates KAB will be
available; January 29th,
February 12th or February
15th.
Discuss Debbie York told KNRHB How to
Volunteer members that due to budget recognize YOM
Appreciation restraints, this year's Keep judges and
Dinner NRH Beautiful Volunteer other volunteers
Appreciation dinner will be prior to next
combined with the Animal year's volunteer
Adoption & Rescue Center dinner.
and Neighborhood Initiative
Program's volunteer dinner,
which will be held some time
next Spring or Summer.
Since the Yard-of-the-Month
program ends in October,
KNRHB members feel they
should recognize the judges
in some way, prior to dinner.
How they & other volunteers
could be recognized will be
discussed at a future meeting.

Appointed as
Alternate to
KNRHB
Commission

Debbie York presented
members with the idea of
having a high school junior or
senior appointed as alternate
to the Keep NRH Beautiful
Commission. Debbie said
the City of DeSoto does this
and it works well and Mayor
Trevinio has already given
his approval.
Debbie also told members
that a new board member is
scheduled to be appointed at
the next council meeting.
Debbie York stated Clean
Campus Award program
information was mailed to the
PT A Presidents and
Environmental Chairs.
The Fire Department's Open
House will be held Saturday,
October 9th, and Keep NRH
Beautiful will have a display
table at the event.
The NEET Flea Market will be
held Saturday, November 13th
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at
Richland Business Centre,
6357 Grapevine Hwy.
Kathy Luppy will give the
Yard-of-the-Month
presentation at the October
25th council meeting.
Monique Hester asked board
members if the board could
look at a program she heard
about called Tree City USA.
