Motion: Holly Bullington Second: John Paraskevas Motion Passed Discuss Litter cleanup event on April Cleanups 10th, 2004 and Community cleanup event scheduled for April 24th, 2004. Trees will be given out at each event. KNRHB members will go to Neighborhood Services building after April 10th cleanup event in order to tag the trees. Pond Tour The date of the pond tour Details had to be moved to June 5, 2004. Five ponds are on the tour so far. Green Mama's and Tropical Greenery have agreed to sell pond tour books/maps; in return they will receive free advertising Item Discussion Action Taken Follow Up in the tour book. The pond tour will also be advertised in the Star- Telegram, Native Plant Society newsletter, and on Citicable. Trees for Tots The Trees for Tots ceremony Debbie York Ceremony will be held May 1 st, at Linda send out the Spurlock Park located at 6400 invitations for Glenview Dr. The ceremony the May 1st will begin at 11 :00 a.m. Trees for Tots ceremony. Debbie York will mail invitations to the seven applicants. Parents will be provided with a copy of the poem Trees by Joyce Kilmer. Adopt-A-Spot The new Adopt-A-Spot signs, Motion to approve Signs which measure 12" x 18" with enlarging Adopt-A-Spot a name plate that is 4" x 12", signs to next size up from are so small that the name of 12"x18" the adoptee is not visible from the street. KNRHB members Motion: Monique Hester suggested the signs be re- Second: Holly Bullington printed, using the next largest size and using the old signs Motion Passed for the Clean Campus Award signs-two per school. Governor's KNRHB members were each Community assigned a section of the Achievement application. They were Award assigned the following: · Monique Hester, Public Awareness · Holly Bullington, Beautification and Property Improvement · John Paraskevas, Illegal Dumping · Kathy Luppy, Education · Bill Stewart, Community Leadership and Coordination · Sarah Enfinger, Litter Prevention and Cleanup Item Discussion Action Taken Follow Up . Debbie York, Solid Change meeting in April Waste Management from the 20th to the 13th. Sections need to be e-mailed to Debbie York by Friday, April 9th; typed and ready by the April 13th meeting. Staff Report This year's KTB annual conference is scheduled for June 15-18, and will be held in Austin, Texas.
