To approve the Minutes from the January 15, 2002 meeting. Motion: Deloris Pultz Second: Rhonda Dolan Passed Reports from Deloris Pultz asked Members on members to make sure they Activities for contact the appropriate KTB Awards people regarding their section of the KTB report. Debbie York relayed that the Council Update newsletter is a good source since it has information regarding other city departments and their programs, some of which can be included/counted on the KTB application. March 16th was the date chosen as the deadline for getting the information to Debbie York in order for her to have enouah time to get Item Discussion Action Taken Follow Up the report together. Deloris Pultz also suggested contacting Bates Container to see if they would be interested in completing the application for the Civil Organization Award. BC-05 Pam Burney reported that Discuss Keep America Beautiful has Li berty asked all Affiliates to Garden participate in the Uberty Project Gardens program. K.A.B. would like each community to "honor the memory of Americans who perished in the terrorist attacks, and reaffirm the values of freedom and liberty on which our country was built" by designating an area in the city as its "Liberty Garden". Pam Burney relayed that Bill Thorton, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, was very excited about the idea and that a site has already been picked out. Mr. Thorton also said the Parks department would fund the project and provide the labor. Spring Monique Hester reported Seminar that she made arrangements Discussion with Cozette Lawrence, of Wild Birds Unlimited, to do the Landscaping to Attract Birds seminar on April 16th. Staff Reports Debbie York reported that the Trees for Tots brochures were delivered to the schools by February 11, and that so far she has received 13 applications. Debbie York stated that the Landscaping for Birds Seminar information would be on the February and March water bill inserts.
