CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. by Patsy Tucker.
2.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Motion by Jane Ounkleberg, second by Jeanne Lueck to approve the minutes of the previous
meeting. Motion carried 4-0.
3.
DEVELOP ARBOR DAY PROGRAM
After a discussion of arbor day projects, a motion was made by Jane Ounkleberg to plant one
tree at each of the three middle schools in North Richland Hills. It was suggested that the
student council at each school be involved in planning the tree planting program. BISO will
need to be contacted regarding the date during the 3rd week in March and the location for the
tree plantings. Media coverage will also be needed.
4.
MEETING TIME CHANGE
Because the 2:00 p.m. meeting time is no longer convenient for several of the commission
members, a motion was made by Patsy Tucker and second by Jane Ounkleberg to change the
meeting time to 7:15 p.m. for both the work shop and regular meetings. Motion carried 3-0 with
one abstention.

STAFF REPORTS
Pam Burney reported that the city will be providing code enforcement information to citizens via
door hangers. She also reported that the Environmental Services Department will coordinate a
litter cleanup effort called the Great American Clean Up which will take place this year on
Saturday, April 241h. Several members of the commission expressed an interest in participating
as a group.
7.
OTHER ITEMS
There was a discussion on the public hearing regarding the Land Use Ad Hoc Committee's
recommendations to the City Council.
The next workshop will be Tuesday, March 2, 1999 at 7:15 p.m. at the Environmental Services
building.
8.
ADJOURNMENT
Ms. Tucker adjourned the meeting at 3:30 p.m.
