APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Appr-oved as written. ITEM 4: TRASH OFF DAY Ms. Davis welcomed the Chair-mans of the other City ßoar'd/Commissions as special guests andìnfor'med them of planz: for' "Tta:3h ()ff" Day to be held on tvlar'ch 31, 1990. Mr-. Hightshoe praised the Scoutls presentation to the Parks and Recreation Board. His only criticism was that the size needed to be cut to accommodate parking. ITEr.1 6: IICLEA.N CITY" UmFERENCE Motion made by Ms. Scoma to table this item for later discussion. Ms. I<emp seconded the motion. ITEil1 7: KEEP TEXAS eEAUTIFUL APPLICATION The School Administration has filled out the education part and the City departments are each filling out their parts. The application will be typed by Gina Gonzalez at Jim Brownels office. ITEM 8: OTHER ITEMS NOT ON AGENDA Mr. Hightshoe r-epor-ted that the City has purchased a tree spade in cooperation with the City of Bedford. He presented pictures of the island at Glenview and Rufe Snow. ~1s. Davis made motion to put "FTïch31n Nor'th F~ich1E¡nd Hills" on t shirts for the eeautification Commission members. Ms. Kemp :;;;;Jconded. Ms. Davis asked Mr. Hightshoe to research other- suitable locations. especially outside of the Parks and Recreation Department offices. Ms. Davis made a motion that the Committee maintain silence concerning the tr-ee preser-vation for a period of six months. unless discussion is initiated by another Board of the City.
