Chai~ma~ Robert Skinner asked for anyone wisning to s?ea~
concerninç this case to come fOY'ward.
~r. Paul Paskell who reSlaes at 7200 Lola Drive came forward.
~e stated he wanted to know whaL progress was being made
concerning the house.
Xs. ~ina Clifton who resides at 7208 Lola ~rive came forward
a~Q stateå she also wanted to know what was being done
aDm:t the ::lO~lse in q-..:.estion.The house v-]as an "eyesore" ar-d
trash was being blowr- inLo neighbors' yards.
~r. ?askell stated the gates were open ana trash was being
blown into his yard.
~r. ~ohn ~arriviere aSKed the condit~on of the fe~ce.
Xr. ?askell replied the fence was a makeshift with a Qoub~e
ga"te.
Chairman Robert Skinner stated there were some

thi~gs going on with the F.B.:. and ~he Fire ~epartment
of t~e City of Xorth Richland Eil.is as a consequence.
After severa: attempts, the holder of the property was
found and the Notice and Order was senL. ~he City
~equested the house be ooarded up and secu~ed from possible
entrv. The mortgage company complied with the ~equest but
ala nOL remove the trash and rubble. There have bee~
insurance and building bids turned ir:to the mortgage company.
Mr. Skinner requested for Mr. Miller to return to the
residence and post the signs for the Fire DeparLment
that have been removed.
Mr. ~oe Crane stated the Board has discussed the unpleasant
premises of the property and wanted to get something done
about it. ~he City, however. had to go through the proper
procedures in dealing with the managing company.
Mr. ..John Larriviere motioned the demolition order be
upheld to be effecLive thiY'ty days from today's date.
A~! trash and debris in front of the property be removed
and the gates secured within ten days from today!s date.
Chairman Robert Skinner stated the City will inform the
mortgage company they have thirty days to appear and
secure a demolition permit to clear the property. :hey
also have ten days to volur-tarily remove the trash and
debris ~rom the site. If the mortgage company does not
comply, the City will clear- the properLY and send a
statemer-t of exoense to them.
Mr. Joe Crane stated he wanted to amend the motion to
the City being able to demolish the house on the thirty-
first day of the Order which will be the fifteenth of
April.
Chairman Robert Skinner stated if a permit is not taken
out by April 15, 1989, the City has the right to level
the house to the ground and charge the mortgage company
for the service or file a lien on the property.
Mr. Chuck Eaves who resided at 7228 Lola Drive asked
if the insurance company had a lien on the property.
Chairman Skinner stated the City knew who the mortgage
company was and the insurance company was also respons-
eble for the property. ~ne City does not know any of the
infoY'mation as far as liens being held on the property.
~s. ~ina Clifton asked how long afte::, the mortgage company
acquired a permit for demolition did they have LO
demolish the nouse.
Chairman Robe::,t Skinner stated thev would have thirty days
in which to comDlete.
C~airman Skinner stated he wanted to ammend 30~TI Larriviere s
motion that if a demolition permit is taken out by April 15,
1989, the mortgage company then have fifteen days from that
point and time to take care of it.
Mary Norwood seconded and the motior- carried 5-0 to deny
the request.
