The Facility Naming Board requested that the Park and Recreation Board revisit the
recommended names submitted, in early 2005, for the Goode Place park site and the
Little Bear Creek neighborhood park site that are currently under construction. The
Facility Naming Board feels strongly that the city should honor our history and recognize
individuals that have made a significant and everlasting contribution to the City of North
Richland Hills.

The Park and Recreation Board discussed the recommendation of the Facility Naming
Board and preferred that neighborhood parks not be named after individuals. The Park

would like to see a compromise by allowing "In Honor Of' plaques to be placed at park
sites.
