All merr~ers present except Pat Darnell.
After numerous meetings between the Park and Recreation Board and R.Y.A.
pertaining to improvements at Richfie~d Park to make the four ball diamonds
suitable for organized night play, the following terms have been agreed to
by both R.Y.A. and the Park and Recreation Board and are being recomnended
to the City Council for approval.
1. R.Y.A. will install all required out field fences.
2. R.Y.A. will maintain the ball diamonds during ball season.
3. R.Y.A. will move all existing bleachers to Richfield park and
secured in concrete piers.
4. R.Y.A. wil] operate the Richfield park concession stand and pay the
City of North Richland Hills a fee of lOX on gross sales.
5. T~e City af North Richland Nills a1ong with physical and monetary
help from R.Y.A. will install lights a~d score keeper stands on the
four ball diamonds, R.Y.A. will pay the City $10,000.00 cash plus
whatever man power is needed to accomplish the above.
Tom Connell moved, seconded by Jim Conkle, that we, the Park and Recreation
Board of North Richland Hilis reconanend that the City provide a matching fund
of $10,000.00 for the improvement of the facilities at Richfield Park. The
motion carried unanimously.
Everett Hays recomnended to the R.Y.A. representative that a committee be
forn~d to attend the Park and Recreation board meetings to coordinate the
facility improverr~nts. '
The.next meeting will be Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., October 8, 1974.
