E. xunkele Member: Everett Hays CITY STAFF: Actin~ City Manager: Cene Riddle Secretary: Jeanette t~ioore Cha.irraan Asa Short turned the meeting over to b1r. • Riddle. 1fr. Riddle explain~d the purpose of this meeting was to approve the preliminary pla~ of the proposed new park, t~x. Riddle showed the Commission the plat, and asked for their comrnents. tdr. Hays advi~ed it was not what they wan~ed.. AIr. Short ~ agreed the plan was not wh~t they ha.d as~ced for. The layout of the football and baseball fields was the m~.in concern. HIr. Hays stated it wae not arranged the wa.;~ they wanted. The layout of the footba2l and baseba~l fields would run the cost of li~htin~ the fields higher. rir. Riddle advised the ~:embers he thought-the Conmission shoulcl get to~;ether and discuss what changes they wanted, and two of them take the plan back to Nlr. Roainson. ?ir. Hays advised he could ~a sometime in ]~iarch. t4r. Short asked if they oauld accept the plan like it was and make the chan~s they wanted later. I~~r. Riddle advised him they must have a certain amount of space for picnic ar_d play area. Everything must stay within the ~rant. Z;r. Cannelly asked why ?~ir. Aobinsor_ the followin~ day and see if he could come here. The meeting was set for Tuesde,y~ 2~Tarch 7, 1972 - 7:0~ P.r'., Airs. Robinson Made a motion, seconded by Lir. Hays to adjourn.
