HomeMy WebLinkAboutLIB 1972-10-25 Minutes NORTH RICHLAND HILLS LIBRARY COMMISSION October 2$, 19~2 The regular meeting af the North Richland Hills Libr:ry Commission was c~~led to order at 4t00 P.M. with 7 members present. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The special meeting of the board Friday morning~ Oct. 20th, at 9:30 was reported for the minutes. The application for a matching funds grant for a library building was presented to the trustees and signed by Mr. Brinkley as Chairman. Mr. Riddle gave a report on the funds asked for in the library building grant and what could be expected if the grant is given. A discussion was held on possible sites for a library building. The financial report of the Citizens Library Association wa~ given Mrs. Dorothy McKnight~ Treasurer. Mrs. Prewitt reported that the libr~ry has purchased the copy machine that the library has been leasing the past year; the Four Seasons book program change was announeed. The librarian will be working closely with Mrs. Brandon, the recreation director~ to get books of interests to the patients. Th~ Story Hour program is doing we11, a~d a rug has been purehased for the children to sit on. Mrs. Prewitt also announced that there are 8,587 books cataloged now on the shelves. Circulation is averaging 43 books a~ay this month. The donations on the water bill were ~691.0~. The funding for the county libraries proposed by the etudy group for the county commissioners was briefly explained.
