July 26, 1972
The regular meeting of the North Richland Hi11s Library
Commission was called to order at 4:00 P.M. with five members
° present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read, and the motion
as written in the minutes to have donations to the library
placed in the Library and Park Fund was corrected to read
rrPlaced in a separate special account," motiun made by Mr.
Davis, seconded by Mr. Polster.
The publicity in the Fort tiVorth Star~-Telegram on the
new circulation desk was shown.
A copy of the overdue form letter was given to each board
member and approved. Sug~;estions were made for tracing
people the letters do not reach because of address changes.
It was suggested a copy of the state penal code on detaining
books be prominently displayed.
A report was given by Mrs. Prewitt on the library grant appli-
cation. It was recommended to Mrs. Prewitt by B.arbara Martin,
Texas State Library Field Consultant that the library wait
another year to apply as the book requirement of 10,000 will
have been met by then.
Mr. Polster announced that the Citizens Association were not
meeting during the summer. Their meeting will begin again
in September, and the book sale will be either that month
or October. A financial report was also given.
The Library and Park Fund was discussed and Mr. Brinkley
appointed Mr. Polster to contact the Ft. tiVorth Star-Telegram in Aug.
to take pictures showing the new boolcs bought with the water
raoney, and the new shelving.
The library report and financial statements were given by
Mrs. Prewitt.
The board agreed not to meet in August.
