Mrs. Prewitt, librarian, reparted 4600 books on the library ~ shelves, with avera~e circul~,tion bein~ 3~ books per day. Mrs. Pre~~itt reported the Book Return was on dxand and ready f~r installation, also a charge out ma.chine wo~ald be delivere~i wit?~in a month. The Ehildren's Story Hour has been set for each Friday at 1(1qM with I~1rs. Joan Iiall servin~ as story lady. Mrs. Free made the follawin~ financial re~ort from the Friend~ of he ~ibr~.ry: Balance due on shelves $3„~~3.t~0 Balance in bank 80,00 Mrs. Free re~orted the bi11 £or £ruitcakes had been paid, but a number of fruitcakes ha.d not sold, and would be frozen for s~.ld next ye ar . Mrs. Frewitt annoixnced National Li.brary tVeek in Texas would be ob- served .~pril 16-22. Her ~lans for the week are to acquaint as many childr~n with the library as ~+ossible, anc~ have a Book Sale on ,'~t~ril 21-22. (5t~0 bookmarks have been ordered to distribute diarin~ this week~ Te~.chers wi 11 be invited to brina classes f or tot~rs of the library.
