A called meeting of the North Richland Hills Library
Commis sion was called to order at 3:00 PM at the Northeast
_ National Bank for the purpose of interviewing applicants for the
position of librarian. Mr. Jack Russell gave a report on interviews
and pre sented three re sume s. One applicant, Mr s. Laura Prew itt,
was present. After studying the resumes and talking with her,
Mrs. Fred Parker made the motion that the Library Commission recommend
to the City Council that Mrs. Prewitt be hired. The motion was
seconded by Mr. J. Fred Davis. The motion carried unanunously.
It was decided by general consent that a letter of appreciation
from the Commission be sent to Mrs. James Free, and also a request
that the Mayor present her a citation for outstanding service.
Mrs. Hollis Askew was welcomed as a new member of the
Library Commission, replacing Mrs. Ben Shilcutt who resigned
in October.
There being no futher business, the meeting was adjourned.
