The regular meeting of the North Richland Hills Library Commission
was called to order at 4:30 P.M. with six members present. The
minutes of the last meeting were approved as read.
The authentication of application for a construction grant from
federal funds was presented to the board and signed by Dr.
Kulaga. Dr. Ellis explained details of the grant, including
qualifications and future needs of the library. There was no
report on the application to the Moody Foundation.
Mrs. Prewitt reported that the average circulation for the first
16 days of March was 90 books and was within 200 baoks of the
entire number of books checked out for the month of March in 1973.
Mrs. Prewitt announced that the library would be applying to
the Texas State Library for a federal grant since funds have
been released in that area also. She explained that materials
for pre-school children would be asked for as the justifications
for work in this area are best substantiated by figures of the
population available.
Mrs. Prewitt anounced that she would be attending the Texas
Library Association meeting in San Antonio March 27th through
March 29th.
Members of the board whose terms expire this year were announced:
Rev. Hazlewood, Mrs. Myers~ Mrs. Brinkley, and Dr. Kulaga. All
agreed to serve another two year term.
