January 23, 1974
~ The regular meeting of the North Richland Hills Library Commission
was called to order at 4:30 P.M. with five members present. The
minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Mrs. Reeder made a report on the progress of the application for
a grant from the Mood~,Foundation. Definite information should
be available at the February board meeting as to the outcome of
the application.
Mrs. Prewitt presented the monthly statistics of the library
circulation and the status report to the board to be read.
The library budget financial statement for December w~s-also
presented, along with the report on the donations given on the
water bills. The deposits for the months of December and
January were included, leaving the current balance: $2,258.67.
Mrs. Prewitt reported that the money granted by the County for
library services to North Richland Hills will be $4,438.00.
The shelving installed in December and the new arrangement of
the library books were shown to the board. New shelves are
to be ordered to expand current shelving. The Story Hour
continues to be a success with as many as 33 children attending
each weekly session.
The selection of a name to be presented to the City Council
to replace Mrs. Charles Owens on the Library Commission was
deferred by Dr. Kulaga.
