IN THE NORTH RICHLAND HILLS CITY HALL 7301 NORTHEAST LOOP 820 1. CALL TO ORDER The Chairman called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. 2. ROLL CALL Members Present: David Phelps Chairman George Pederson Vice Chairman Jeff 13ewsom Commissioner Others Present: Ron McKinney Civil Service Secretary Jill Korth Personnel Secretary Bobbie McCorkle Court Clerk Tiffany Nourse Library Director Jerry McGlasson Police Chief Absent: Bob Roark Commissioner Lyle Welch Commissioner 3. APPI20VAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Pederson made a motion, seconded by OF MARCH 5, 1985 Commissioner Newsom, that the minutes of the March 5, 1985 meeting be approved. The motion carried unanimously. 4. RECOMMENDATION TO UP Bobbie McCorkle came before the Commission to GRADE CITY MARSHALL recommend to up grade the position of City Marshall to the pay grade of certified police officers. After general discussion, Commissioner Pederson moved, secanded by Commissioner Newsom, that the position o£ City Marshall be reassigned to pay grade 1 of the Public Safety Salary Schedule, if approved by the City Council. The motion carried unanimously. 5. CONSIDERATIOI3 TO ASSIGN Tiffany Nourse came forward to recommend that the PAY GRADE FOR MUNICIPAL position of Cable TV Technician be placed in pay CABLE TV TECHNICIAN grade 4 of the Non-Public Safety Salary Schedule. Commissioner Phelps moved, seconded by Commissioner Pederson, that the position of Cable TV Technician be placed in pay grade 4, if approved by the City Council. The motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Nourse also recommended that the position of Cable TV Coordinator increase from pay ~rade 4 to 6. Commissioner Pederson moved, seconded by Commissioner Newsom, that the position of Cable TV Coordinator be increased to pay grade 6, if approved by the City Council. The motion carried unanimously. POLICE PERSONNEL SALARY Chief Jerry McGlasson came before the Commission to RECOI~Il~IENDATIONS recommend to place the position of Animal Control Supervisor in pay grade 6. After general discussion, Commissioner Newsom moved, seconded by Commissioner Phelps, that the position of Animal Control Supervisor, if approved by the City Council, be placed in pay grade 7. The motion carried unanimously. Chief McGlasson also recommended that the position of Police Lieutenant be assigned the pay grade shown on the proposed Public Safety Salary Structure. After general discussion, Commissioner Phelps moved, seconded by Commissioner Pederson, to accept the pro- jected Public Safety Salary Structure, if approved by the City Council. The motion carried unanimously. 7. RECOMMENDATION TO CTTY After general discussion Commissioner Phelps moved, COUNCIL FOR 1985-86 seconded by Commissioner Pederson that the positions CLASSIFIED SALARY RADIGES of Library Assistant I, PBX Operator, Clerk I, and Clerk II be increased by one pay grade, if approved by the City Council. The motion carried unanimously. 8. RECOMMENDATION TO CITY There was a general discussion by the Commission. COUNCIL FOR 1985-86 Commissioner Newsom moved, seconded by Commissioner EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Phelps, to recommend that there be a 4% cost of living increase for 1985-86, if approved by the City Council.
