CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION CITY OF NORTH RICHLAND HILLS JUNE 10, 1980 The Civil Service Commission of the City of North Richland Hills met in a regular session at 7:00 p.m, in the Conference Room of the City Hall Building. COI~dISSION MEMBERS PRESENT Bob L. Henderson, Chairman Bill J. Betts, Vice Chairman Helen Cline, Civil Service Secretary OTHERS PRESENT Charles Williams, City Manager G. W. Williams, Police Chief Ron McKinney, Sergeant AGENDA ITE1~T 1. Vice Chairman Bill Betts made a motion to approve the r~Tinutes of r'iay 13th as written. Chairman Bob Henderson seconded the motion; motion carried by a vote of 2- 0. AGENDA TTEM 2. Salary Proposals From the Police Department - The Commission considered salary and pay plans that were presented. The Secretary has received pay plans from Haltom City, Hurst, Bedford and Dallas. The representa- tives frorn the Police Department presented their suggestions. The Commission feels the Department Heads are more qualified to place a value upon each classification in his/her department. Vice Chairman Bill Betts made a motion to postpone Item 2 and Item 3 until next meeting or worksession, except for the increases in Dispatcher salaries. Chairman Bob Henderson seconded the motion; motion carried by a vote of 2 - 0. Chairman Bob Henderson made a motion that Chief Williams' proposal for Dispatcher salaries be accepted and passed on for dis- tribution. AGENDA ITEM 4. Civil Service Budget Proposal - Vice Chairman Bill Betts made a motion that the recomm~nded proposal for the 1980-81 budget item 101 be $15,000; that the request for an additional clerk be left open until after the worksession, and the remaining budget items for our tentative budget be postponed until next meeting. Chairman Bob Henderson seconded the motion; motion carried by a vote of 2 - 0. ADJOURNMENT: Motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at approximately 8:45 p.m. The rneeting was adjourned.
