CARTER September 22, 1976 S U M M A R Y Case No. CS-76-4 Chairman Green called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., in Room 100, City Hall Building, located at 7301 N.E. Loop 820, City of North Richland Hi?ls, Texas. Commission members John H. Green, W. C. Moor.e and D. M. Carter were present. Marvin H. Carter, Appellant was present; Dennis Morrow, Counsel for the Appellant was unable to be present due to a previous commitment in Dallas. Fire Chief Stan Gertz and a number of witnesses were present. Chairman Green inquired whether Marvin Carter was ready to proceed without counsel. Mr. Carter presented a written Motion For Continuance of his hearing to some date ahead in order to allow sufficient time for his counsel to prepare for his case. Stan Gertz entered a complaint, stating that 21 days should be sufficient time to prepare his case. Chairman Green read into the record certain data pertaining to the official Notice and the date the grievance was filed with Civil Service. (9-3-76) Mr. Carter made the motion that continuance be granted; the motion was seconded by Mr. Moore. Voting was unanimous, all three members voted for continuance. A new date was set; September 28th, at ~ 7:30 p.m. the appeal will be heard in the secretary pool area of the Municipal Complex~ The motion was made by Mr. Moore, seconded by Mr. Carter; voting was unanimous. Carter Case No. CS-76-4 Page 2 Mr. Moore made a motion that CS-76-5 be heard on Wednesday, September 29th, at 7:30 p.m. in the same location. Mr. Carter seconded the motion; voting was unanimous.
