MINUTES
FEBRUARY 11, 1975
The Civil Service Commission of the City of North Richland Hills, Texas was
called to order by the cha~rman, Mr. Green, at 7:40 P.M. February 11, 1975.

Mr. Green read the minutes of the February 4, 1975 meeting and there being no
corrections, the minutes were a~proved as read.

Business of the Evening
1. Grievance Procedure - Ffinal Draft
The final draft was sent to the City Attorney, Tim Truman, for legal
sufftciency before the Comnission approves tt.

2. •~eaire Policy Procedure
J Mr. Churchman presented a vacation policy. After much discussion on
def~~i~~Qns of length of vacation and base rate, the commission decided
to ete~until the next meeting.

3. Illness Policy
Before writing ilness policy Mr. Green will get information from the
Federal Civil Service on how the Fire Department will be affected.
4. Request for Bid
Letters with Bid Forms, Statement of Work and Article XVII of the City
charter are to be sent to the following:

5. New Business
Mr. Cato asked for recommendations to replace Mr. l.ittlefield. The
Council would like to consider these recorr~ne~dations at the February 24
council meeting.
Mr, Churchman will check into annual cost of living ad~ustment and LT~
fire pamphlet.
Mr, Green will write letter to be sent to each department head concerning
how procedures should be presented to employees.
There was much discussion on supplies needed for Civil Service. Mr.
Cato suggested Ruth Pinner, finance dtrector, attend a meeting to decide
about personnel records.
