Approval of Review Minutes from the Motion was made: Minutes February 19, 2002 meeting. To approve the Minutes from the February 19, 2002 meeting. The ladies attended different workshops and acquired many new ideas. Kathy Luppy suggested looking at the current programs; maybe retire some of them and possibly add new ones. Debbie York announced that in the teacher/educator category Kathy Luppy received the third place Sadie Ray Graff Education Leadership Award. Debbie York then gave a detailed report on some of the sessions that she attended (copy attached) and she too, emphasized that the current programs need to be reevaluated and "do away with the programs . that are not working." Debbie York then showed ~ i commission members the Keep Texas Beautiful affiliate entrance way sign given to North Richland Hills at the KTB conference and recommended budgeting for additional signs, which costs around $45.00 each. Ms. Smith ~ will report what she finds out at the next meetin . . Staff Reports Debbie York reported that Home Depot has donated $10,000.00 for the purchase of wildflower seeds to TXDOT. How and when TXDOT will distribute them will be announced at a later date. Debbie York also relayed that surveyors have been at the site chosen for the Liberty Garden, however, money will not be available until the new budget year. Item Discussion Action Taken Follow Up Debbie York notified commission members that Mayor Trevino appointed Holiy Bullington as the Beautification Commission's alternate and that there is still one slot open, which will be filled when Councilman Scott Turnage makes his appointment.
