No objections. Motion carried. PROPOSED 1994 CHIP SEAL PROGRAM I ACTION I No Action Required Larry Cunningham, Greg Dickens BROWNING BOULEVARD EXTENSION TEAKWOOD COURT DRAINAGE ANALYSIS 1994 COUNTY OVERLA Y PROGRAM The developer of the proposed Iron Horse Estates on the Greg Dickens northwest side of the golf course is planning to extend one- half of Browning Blvd. from Wuligar Way approximately 2000 feet to the end of existing Browning Blvd. in Haltom City. The developer has discussed with staff the City paying for the proposed extension initially. The developer would be willing to sign an assessment covenant for repayment of the construction cost, plus pay for all engineering and surveying necessary. This extension is in accordance with the City's Master Thoroughfare Plan. Funds are currently available to finance this project. The CIP Committee instructed staff to take this issue to Council for consideration. Three residents from Teakwood Court were present at the Greg Dickens meeting and spoke. Staff has received several complaints from residents living on Teakwood Court regarding drainage problems and possible solutions. Recent rainfall has filled the street and corne close to entering some houses. Knowlton-English-Flowers was asked to preliminarily review the situation, and present three possible solutions to the Committee. Staff reported that some unspecified drainage bond funds are available for use on miscellaneous drainage projects such as this one. After reviewing the possible solutions, the Committee requested staff present Alternate #3 to Council for approval. Tarrant County was only able to reconstruct and resurface Greg Dickens 1600 feet of Cardinal Lane last year. This was from a list of ten streets previously approved by Council at the October 26, 1992 meeting. Discussions with the County has led staff to believe that for 1994 the County desires to work on arterial or thoroughfare streets and avoid working on residential streets. Staff suggested asking the County for assistance on resurfacing Harwood Road from Grapevine Hwy. to the Hurst city limits for 1994. (Bewley/Onyx Drive to be listed as No.2 priority.) Staff would then utilize some of the $60,000 allocated for the County Overlay Program to reconstruct and resurface as many of the residential streets on the list as possible. The CIP Committee recommended taking this item to Council for action, with the changes outlined by staff. POSTED ON 12/10/93. J;mUlp? tl/l
