REVISED 3- YEAR Mr. Dickens reviewed each of the revisions with Grel: UTILITY FUND the Committee. Councilman Welch questioned Take to Council for CIP PROGRAM the longevity of the paint on existing tanks. Mr. Action. 1991-94 Horvath requested if there was a savings on the Watauga Road Tank Restoration Project, or any other project, that the Staff obtain cost estimates on removing the North Hills Tank. It was the consensus of the Committee to remove the North Hills tank as soon as possible. Councilman Scoma moved, seconded by Councilman Wood, to recommend the Revised Three- Year Utility Fund CIP Program as proposed. Motion carried unanimously. CIP MEETING 1/14/92 Page 2 ITEM DISCUSSION I ASSIGNMENT I GREEN VALLEY There was a question on whether the City Gre2 DRIVE ASPHALT would be encroaching on residents' lawns. EMBER OAKS Councilman Scoma requested that the City DRIVE volunteer to relocate any landscaping that would be disturbed. Mr. Horvath advised he had received a verbal request from Dr. Ray Williams, BISD, for asphalt sidewalks on Smithfield Road from Kingswood Estates to Green Valley Elementary School. The School District is willing to help fund a hard surface sidewalk and Dr. Williams is sending a letter to the City requesting this sidewalk. Mr. Johnson stated the Committee needed to also think about the need for sidewalks from Fair Oaks Addition south to Green Valley Elementary. Councilman Wood moved, seconded by Councilman Scoma, to approve the project as presented. Motion carried unanimously. BOCA RATON Mr. Dickens advised that two residents on Boca Grel: DRAINAGE Raton, Mr. and Ms. Marilyn Short and Mr. Visit with the Davis's IMPROVEMENTS John Taylor, were present. Mr. Dickens brought the Committee up to date on the situation. Mr. Dickens advised that the Davis's would not execute an easement because they wanted the flume reduced an extra foot. The Committee discussed the effects that reducing the flume would have. The Committee discussed resolving the issue by turning it over to the Attorney for the City for litigation. There was also discussion concerning the feasibility of an earthen flume. Councilman Scoma moved, seconded by Councilman Wood, to reduce the flume width to 7 feet inside/8 feet outside and staff again approach the Davis's for easement dedication. If the Davis's refuse the new letter agreement, it was directed that it be brought back to the CIP Committee as soon as possible. Motion carried unanimously.
