DISCUSSION
ASSIGNMENT
The CIP Conmittee recorrmended the staff write
a letter to City of Watauga thanking them for
their participation of 1/2 the cost up to $26,500
for this signal. The CIP Carrmi ttee also recœmended
that we add that we understand why they couldn't
participate on the Rufe Snow & Starnes signal at
the time of installation, but state their share of
cost and that we would appreciate payment when they have
the funds available.

The CIP Cornnittee recomnended that this project be
funded from the Utility Fund. C.A. Sandford stated
that he had been in contact with the County
Coomissioner about them possibly constructing the
road for the City for the cost of the materials.
The CIP Cornnittee also recœmended staff contact the
City of Fort Worth (Doug Hanron, City Manager,
and Robert McMillan, Manager of the Village Creek
Wastewater Treatment Plant) about their possible
participation in the roadway construction due to its
providing better, safer access to their wastewater
metering station.

to be resurfaced by the County for 1989:
Little Ranch Road fran Cha¡:man to Hightower
North Forty Road fran Little Ranch to Meadow Road
Meadow Creek Road fran North Forty to Hightower
Onyx Drive South fran Fossil Creek Park to Billie Faye
Continental Trail fran 750' West of Valley Drive to
800' East of Valley Drive.

Industrial Park Boulevard fran Holiday Lane
northwest 1,500' to the existing Industrial
Park Blvd. if the ReM can be obtained in time.
CIP Corrmittee also recœmended to include Shady Grove
as a possible alternate street.
CIP Corrmittee recœmended to proceed with
this project and to fund it fran Unspecified
Drainage monies. CIP Corrmi ttee also suggested
staff draft a courtesy letter to City of
Richland Hills stating our plans to inst...all
pipe and curb inlets in their street and when
they have funds available please reimburse
City NRH.
CIP Conmittee recœmended to not extend sewer
line on the north end due to the fact that there
are several property owners who do not want to grant
temporary easements in which to do the work.
CIP Corrmittee recœmended to proceed with the
engineering on this project. Staff is to work
out costs and funding availibility and to get
back with CIP Carrmittee in April concerning
funding.
CIP Cornnittee recœmended the revised 00 Bond
Sale as presented.

Dennis Horvath presented the CIP Corrmi ttee with Greg
a sidewalk study concerning all elementary schools within
the City of NRH. After much discussion, the CIP
Ccrnnittee recarmended the following:
1. Foster Village Elementary - obtain temporary
easements for asphalt sidewalk at one of the three
locations stated in the sidewalk study presented
by staff. City crews will construct this sidewalk.
2. Start sidewalks on Smithfield Road as soon as
possible with funding to come fran Misc. Street
Project with a Change Order that will be taken
directly to City Council for approval as soon as
possible.
3. Look at a possible Change Order on Martin for
sidewalks fran Sim:nons to Precinct Line on the
north side.

4. Issue a Change Order on Emerald Hills Way
Project for sidewalks on the south side.
5. Consult with the Planning & Zoning Carrmision
concerning sidewalks being required in
the revised SUbdivision Ordinance.
6. Staff is to consult with the City Attorney
about the assessment policy on sidewalks.
OTHER ITEMS
Councilman Virginia Moody requested that
the CIP Carrmittee recomnend to City Council
renaming Watauga Road to Fisher Blvd. in
memory of Dick Fisher when it is dedicated.
CIP Conmittee recorrmended that Watauga Road
or Edison Drive be renamed R. E. Fisher Blvd
on PreCouncil, 12-12-88.
