City Manager Director of Public Works Director of Finance Asst. Director of Public Works Senior Accountant City Engineer Planning Division The Committee decided to prioritize individual repairs submitted by the Public Works Department into $60,000 to $80,000 projects based on the (1) current level of deterioration, (2) timing of total street repair in future, and (3) location with respect to other repairs. Intent will be to try and repair the "bird baths" over a three year period. Committee recommends the first year package be submitted to the Council on February 22, 1988 for approval. The Committee gave favorable recommendation on trimming the current year's proposed bond sale package and extending the CIP schedule. Committee recommended two changes to the proposed revisions outlined on the hand-out. First, subtract $300,000 from "Precinct Line Road" and add it to "Fire Station Relocation". Second, add $13,111 for right-of-way acquisition on Newman Drive. Committee requested the "Revised 1988 General Obligation Bond Sale" be submitted to the other Council persons for comment prior to next CIP meeting. The Committee discussed whether the City should go ahead and build the signals at the intersection even though the City of Watauga is reluctant to participate. If Watauga's permission to construct this project can be acquired, it is the Committee's recommendation to proceed with construction and bill Watauga after completion.
