Director of Public Works Director of Finance Senior Accountant City Engineer DISCUSSION ASSIGNHENT The Committee decided to recommend to the City Council the following streets for reconstruction with 1987 Unspecified Miscellaneous Street CIP Funds. 1. Mackey Drive - Riveria to South Dead End; 1500'; $150,000 2. Willowcrest Street - Tourist to South City Limits; 1900'; $218,000 3. Terry Drive - College Circle to College Circle South; 800'; $80,000 4. Crabtree Lane - Turner to the North Dead End; 1250'; $125,000 5. Payte Lane - Turner to the North Dead End; 1350'; $135,000 6. Richland Plaza Drive - Billie Faye to Broadway; 1800'; $198,000 Total estimated cost $906,000 plus any water & sewer adjustment or reconstruct cost which may be needed. The water and sewer adjustments would be funded with Unspecified Utility CIP Funds. Gene Riddle Committee requested proposed 1988 "streets to be overl ayed list with updated street inventory be submitted for consideration in January 1988. Richard Davis requested Diamond Loch East and Diamond Loch West be overlaid by the City as soon as the proposed Beach Street Water Line construction across these streets is completed. Gene Riddle Richard Royston reported his progress with regards to acquiring voluntary dedication of street right-of-way for this proposed project from Industrial Park Boulevard to Holiday Lane. Some problems have arisen with locating current responsible party who represents the owner of tract which fronts on Holiday Lane. Richard Royston will continue to pursue this project and report back next CIP meeting. Richard Royston ITEM DISCUSSION CIP STATUS UPDATE Richard Albin reviewed his CIP Status Report with the Committee. Project No. 3-225-Richard Albin will submit to the City a proposal for accomplishing an "Economic Cost Evaluation" as required for submission to the State Department of Highways & Public Transportation. The proposal will be on the September 28th agenda for City Council consideration. Project No. 3-226-Committee requested that the staff push contractor for BISD to finish. Project No. 3-227, 3-233 & 3-234-Status Report Project No. 3-235-Richard Davis stressed that the staff needs to relay the City's concern about the signals on Davis Boulevard planned for College Circle intersection being placed at the appropriate intersection for future as well as current needs. Richard Davis' concern was for possible need of traffic signalization at Davis Boulevard and North Richland Boulevard intersection. Mayor Echols stated he had written a letter to the SDH&PT that covered this issue. Project No. 3-324, 3-325, 3-335 & 3-336-Status Report Project No. 3-424-Committee stressëd need to continue negotiations with Mr. Lucas in order to acquire easement across his property and allow the installation of a lift station further downstream in the watershed than Martin Road. Project No. 3-56l-Richard Albin stated that some of the homeowners on Vance/Daly/Cummings proposed sanitary sewer project have been against the sewer line being installed. Gene Riddle stated that after the preliminary plans are finished for the Vance/Daly/Cummings sanitary sewer improvements that a questionnaire could be mailed out to the homeowners to be affected by the construction asking if they want City sewer service versus their existing septic tanks. Mayor Echols suggested that these public sewer lines should be installed and possibly consider in the near future passing an ordinance mandating homeowners tieing onto the City sewer whenever it is made available.
