CIP STATUS UPDATE
Richard Albin reviewed his CIP Status Report
with the Committee.
Project No. 3-225-Richard Albin will submit to
the City a proposal for accomplishing an
"Economic Cost Evaluation" as required for
submission to the State Department of Highways
& Public Transportation. The proposal will be
on the September 28th agenda for City Council
consideration.
Project No. 3-226-Committee requested that the
staff push contractor for BISD to finish.
Project No. 3-227, 3-233 & 3-234-Status Report
Project No. 3-235-Richard Davis stressed that
the staff needs to relay the City's concern
about the signals on Davis Boulevard planned
for College Circle intersection being placed
at the appropriate intersection for future as
well as current needs. Richard Davis' concern
was for possible need of traffic signalization
at Davis Boulevard and North Richland Boulevard
intersection. Mayor Echols stated he had written
a letter to the SDH&PT that covered this issue.
Project No. 3-324, 3-325, 3-335 & 3-336-Status
Report
Project No. 3-424-Committee stressëd need to
continue negotiations with Mr. Lucas in order
to acquire easement across his property and
allow the installation of a lift station further
downstream in the watershed than Martin Road.
Project No. 3-56l-Richard Albin stated that
some of the homeowners on Vance/Daly/Cummings
proposed sanitary sewer project have been against
the sewer line being installed. Gene Riddle
stated that after the preliminary plans are
finished for the Vance/Daly/Cummings sanitary
sewer improvements that a questionnaire could be
mailed out to the homeowners to be affected by
the construction asking if they want City sewer
service versus their existing septic tanks.
Mayor Echols suggested that these public sewer
lines should be installed and possibly consider
in the near future passing an ordinance mandating
homeowners tieing onto the City sewer whenever it is
made available. Committee instructed Richard Albin
to continue with preliminary plans.
