Mr. Mark Mills, Budget Director, reviewed the FY 2010/2011 revised to adopted revenue and
expenditures. The Board was advised that because sales tax collections have been lower
than anticipated, a slight decrease in sales tax has been projected in the revised budget. The
Franchise Tax has been revised downward as a result of the franchise payment from Atmos
being lower than anticipated. Operating expenditures were revised down due to the
reorganization of personnel and three vacant dispatcher positions frozen until there is a
resolution with the combined dispatch and retention center. Mr. Mills presented the proposed
2011/2012 revenues and expenditures. Revenues are projected to increase from FY
2010/2011 adopted revenues by $34,743 and there is a slight increase in expenditures due to
costs for the Law Enforcement Analysis Program license and the child abduction response
team annual fee. The Board concurred with the revised and proposed budgets.
There being no further business, Mayor Trevino adjourned the work session of the Crime
Control District and Prevention Board on August 5, 2011 at 11:17 a.m.
