HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1154 ORDINANCE NO. 1154 'iHEREAS, there are five members of the Civil Service Commission of the City; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for three members to be in attendance at meetings of the said commission in order to constitute a quorum; and WHEREAS, it is sometimes impossible for three regular members of the commission to meet at a particular time in order to conduct commission business. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of North Richland Hills, Texas that: 1. An alternate position on the Civil Service Commission is hereby created. 2. The person appointed as alternate member shall only sit as a member of the commission on such occasions when a quorum of three regular members are out of the city and cannot attend the meeting or in the case of sickness of other members whereby their attendance is not possible. 3. The position of alternate member shall be for a one year term which will expire on April 15th of each calendar year or until his successor is duly appointed and qualified. 4. The first alternate member, Jack Frisque, has been appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by two thirds of the City Council and he shall serve until April 15, 1985 or until his successor is duly appointed and qualified.
